Forsyth lodge is just 10 minutes from the park entrance and the entry time of the park varies basis the sunrise in the morning.
Jeep Safari (Core and Buffer)
Core Jeep Safari - The classic jeep safari through Satpura's core zone offers an authentic experience of the park’s dense teak forests, rugged hillscapes, and open meadows. With only a limited number of vehicles allowed inside at any given time, the safari remains quiet and personal. Expect to encounter sloth bears, leopards, gaur, wild dogs, and if you’re lucky, the elusive tiger. Morning safaris begin at sunrise and last up to 4-5 hours, with a memorable jungle breakfast en route. The afternoon drive offers a different charm, stretching from 2:30 PM into twilight.
Buffer Zone Safaris (Parsapani / Jamani Dev ) - These safaris take place on the periphery of the park, where wildlife movement is still high and the terrain is equally rich. The buffer zones allow for more relaxed wildlife watching and immersive exploration, often bringing you up close to herds of deer, wild boar, and an astonishing array of birdlife. Night safaris in these zones offer a glimpse into the jungle’s nocturnal world—an experience filled with the sounds of owls, civets, and perhaps a silent predator on the prowl.

Buffer Walk
Satpura is one of the few reserves in India where walking safaris are permitted. Accompanied by a trained naturalist, these treks through the buffer zone offer a ground-level view of the forest’s stories—pugmarks, claw marks, scratch posts, and scat all become vital clues.
